Abstract

Œuvre : La femme antérieure Le récit suit l’évolution d’un deuil sur une année. Des moments précédents la mort de sa mère aux funérailles d’une autre femme de la famille, la narratrice dépouille sa mémoire pour tenter de départager les souvenirs réels de ceux qui auraient pu être manipulés par le discours maternel.

Essai : Taxidermie littéraire Par l’analyse d’Une femme d’Annie Ernaux et de La femme qui fuit d’Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette, l’essai propose le concept de taxidermie littéraire. Cette définition formelle permettrait d’aborder une certaine catégorie d’écrits du deuil comme étant des portraits vivaces ayant pour but de fixer l’identité du défunt par le texte. Par l’analyse d’autres pratiques d’interprétation du deuil et du corps décédé, l’essai convoque le travail du philosophe français Jacques Derrida sur le don/pardon, pour mettre en lumière le processus d’écriture menant aux textes qui pourraient tombés sous la définition de taxidermie littéraire.

This conception would enable to analyse grief writings as vivid portraits fixing the identity of the deceased through the text. Analyzing other interpretations practices of grief and the dead body, the essay calls upon the work of French philosopher Jacques Derrida on the Economy of the Gift, to shed light on the writing process leading to those texts who could bear the title of literary taxidermy.
