Abstract(s)
Le feuilleton sociologique est un genre court, à mi-chemin entre la littérature, le reportage
et la sociologie, développé notamment sous l’impulsion des travaux du journaliste
allemand Siegfried Kracauer (1889–1966). Il s’agit de textes rapportant par fragments les
moments d’une enquête sociologique. Celle-ci peut être une ethnographie, une analyse
de discours ou de matériaux visuels, une enquête plus conventionnelle par entretiens. La
plupart du temps, elle se caractérise par un souci pour les lieux et la matérialité.
Traditionnellement publiés dans les journaux, les textes sont sociologiques parce qu’ils ont
comme point de départ une observation dont la formulation a été rendue possible par un
bagage théorique et un œil aguerri; ils relèvent du reportage par leurs descriptions de
situations concrètes, collées au réel; ils empruntent à la littérature une liberté de forme et
des techniques de montage. L’intérêt pour le genre des artisan·e·s de Siggi, le magazine de
sociologie s’inscrit dans une démarche de renouvellement de l’écriture sociologique.
