Abstract(s)
contexte local. Evangelical Christianity in the Quebec context is shaped by various factors, including migratory
movements, transnationalism, proselytizing, the evolution of the society and the growing
individualization of religion in the modern era. Indeed, the case study I carried out in a Montreal
Evangelical church reveals an effort of socio-cultural adaptation specific to the local context,
particularly with respect to practice and community life. I show that these changes are not an
isolated phenomenon but rather they take place in the context of a wider movement. They are
influenced by the evolution of this religion in Quebec and are oriented to contribute to the growth
of Evangelical Christianity in the local context.
