| fr |
dcterms.abstract | It may seem odd at first glance to bring together Max Weber and Martin Heidegger, two intellectuals so different from one another even they share a common concern for history. In fact Weber deals with history merely from the standpoint of the methodology of the human sciences, renouncing to venture in the field of philosophy, whereas Heidegger develops his concept of historicality within a phenomenological ontology centered around the question of being. However the fact that they both insist on the importance for history of the concept of “possibility” clearly justifies, as we will see, the comparison. | fr |
