La théorie de la névrose chez C.G. Jung : la guérison psychique de l’homme moderne par le recouvrement d’une attitude religieuse : l’apport de l’hindouisme et de la culture orientale

Abstract

Cette étude est une analyse critique de la théorie du psychiatre suisse Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961). Elle présente d'abord le problème de la névrose selon sa psychologie en esquissant de façon succincte les concepts qui s’y rattachent. Elle explore ensuite l'approche méthodologique que celui-ci adopte lorsqu'il analyse les religions orientales et l'épistémologie à la base de son entreprise. Elle analyse aussi sa théorie de la religion afin de replacer ses propos dans leur contexte de référence. Cette partie de l’analyse est centrée principalement sur la notion du Soi, ce qui nous amène à exposer l'aspect positif de l'inconscient, mais également le concept d’ombre. Ces éléments nous permettront de mieux comprendre le processus de guérison psychique que propose Jung. Enfin, elle expose, de façon approfondie, la vision du psychiatre au sujet de l’Orient, plus particulièrement de l’hindouisme, dans l’objectif de dégager en quoi cette religion peut contribuer à l’acquisition d’une nouvelle attitude pour l’homme moderne.

This study is a critical analysis of the theory of a Swiss psychiatrist name Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961). It first presents the problem on neurosis and draws a brief portrait of the linked concept. It then explores the methodological approach in his analysis of Oriental religions and the epistemology at the basis of his enterprise. It also analyzes his theory of religion in order to replace his remarks in their context of reference. This part of the analysis is centered mainly on the notion of the Self, which leads us to expose the positive aspect of the unconscious, but also the concept of shadow. These elements will allow us to understand the process of psychic healing that Jung proposes. Finally, it gives an in-depth account of the psychiatrist's vision of the East, especially Hinduism, with the aim of discovering how this religion can contribute to the acquisition of a new attitude that is beneficial to modern man.
